Ministration

January 2015
Go forth and lunch into the deep

Two  days ago during my quiet moment with the Lord, I asked the Lord what He wants me to minister to His people in this month of January 2015. The LORD spoke to my Heart and said: "go forth and lunch into the deep"

I believe many of us if not all have an habit of making a new year resolution at the beginning of each year. And sometimes we set some goals and we aim for great things. The Lord is saying, go forth, achieve your ambitions, your goals and your aims and lunch into the deep. The Lord is ready to bring us into the next level in this month of January and in this year 2015.

We sometimes have fear of how we are going to achieve our aims, many people have failed to achieve so many hopes and desires in their lives. In the Bible we read about Simon Peter how he has toiled all night and catch no Fish, he has lost hope but Jesus came at that time and minister to  Simon.
Luke 5  VS.  4-5:
4: When He had stopped speaking, He said to Simon, “Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.”
5:But Simon answered and said to Him, “Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing; nevertheless at Your word I will let down the net.” 6 And when they had done this, they caught a great number of fish, and their net was breaking. 7 So they signalled to their partners in the other boat to come and help them. And they came and filled both the boats, so that they began to sink.8 When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus’ knees, saying, “Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, O Lord!”

Do we have fear of unknown?  The Bible says in the book of 2 Timothy 1:7: For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

We should leave behind us all those fear and hindrances . let us have faith in God  because with him all things are possible. We should be sure first that all what we are aiming at is in accordance with the Lord `s will, because only his will can be done in our lives. Hallelujah.

I pray as we start this year 2015, God will direct our ways and his Will for our lives will be accomplished (Amen).

WHEN THE LORD TURNED AGAIN THE CAPTIVITY OF ZION

Psalm 126:1:
„When the LORD turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream.“

The Zion were in captivity but the Lord rescued them and released them from their captivity. Many times we find ourselves in some bad situations and we think it is all over.

God is a good God. In any situation we find ourselves we should always trust in God because God will never forsake his own people.
(Psalm 30:5): „... weeping may last through the night but joy comes with the morning."

God is able to restore all we have lost; more than we could ever imagine. Sometimes we face disappointment, though it's hard to cope with this, but some disappointments are actually blessings in disguise. Let us put our trust in God because He is the only one who is 100% trustworthy

Psalm 125 vs. 1: Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion, which cannot be moved, but abides forever.

WHAT DO WE DO

1.Praying and fasting,.
The Bible says „The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. „ (James 5:16)

2. Working hard to know the mind of God on the situation we are and seeking the face of God on what He wants us to do about the situation

3. Trusting in the Lord with all our heart

Psalm 126:6 assures us that though we go forth weeping but we shall surely come again rejoicing.

GOD AND THE DESIRES OF OUR HEARTS

Psalm 37 VS 1-7:
1:Do not fret because of those who are evil or be envious of those who do wrong;
2:for like the grass they will soon wither, like green plants they will soon die away.
3:Trust in the LORD and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture.
4:Take delight in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart.
5:Commit your way to the LORD; trust in him and he will do this:
6:He will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn, your vindication like the noonday sun.
7:Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for him; do not fret when people succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes.

Have you ever asked God to grant your heart desire and it seems as if He wouldn’t answer? Does that mean that our heavenly Father has forsaken or forgotten us? The answer is NO. The good news is that God does not forget whatever you ask Him according to His will.
There are many reasons to this and today I am going to talk about them in this write up

1. God's timing may not be your timing
Our heavenly Father know what is best for us, He knows the appropriate time to give what we desire to us.
He guides each step we take because He loves us. We should learn to wait patiently on the Lord because His timing is the best. He is a very present help in times of need (Psalm 46:1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble).

He will never forsake us but sometimes He wants us to wait on him because what He WANTS TO DO FOR US IS GREATER THAN WHAT WE ARE ASKING FOR and he wants to be sure we are mature enough to handle the greater things he has planned to give to us.
off course while waiting we may be worried  but at the end we will realise that it pays to wait on the Lord, and it pays to serve Him.
1 Corinthians 2 VS 9:
However, as it is written: “What no eye has seen,  what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived” — the things God has prepared for those who love him.

2. Not all that glitters is Gold
Sometimes we as Human desire some things and we really want to have them, but as Human we can't see all the implications and complications attached to what we so much desire. Our heavenly father; JEHOVAH  is all knowing, he knows the end even from the beginning and He will only give us what is good for us because He is a good God
Romans 8 VS 28 :
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

3. The habit of just asking
The Bible says in Psalm 22 VS 3: But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.
In other words, God “dwells” in the atmosphere of His praise. We should learn to praise and thank God in every Situation we found ourselves because even before we were formed in our mother's womb he knows us and cares for us: (Jeremiah 1 VS 5:  “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”).

Praise - Is the voice of faith,  Praise - Is the language of heaven,  Praise - Sets the stage for God to move.

4. Do we pray in the right way
In the book of Luke 11:1-13 the lord Jesus teach us how to pray. The Lord’s Prayer is not a prayer we are to memorize and recite to God. It is an example of the things that should go into a prayer—worship, trust in God, requests, confession, and submission. We are to pray for the things the Lord’s Prayer talks about, using our own words and “customizing” it to our own journey with God. The proper way to pray is to express our hearts to God.

5. What is our Intention
The Intentions of our Hearts matter most. If we deceive ourselves and others, we can never deceive God because he knows every intentions of our Hearts. Let us be honest and open with God, He knows us better than we know ourselves. God is more interested in the content of our hearts than the eloquence of our words. Let us always submit our Will to God, because he loves us and has good plans for us.
Jeremiah 29 VS 11: For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

May the good LORD be with us in this month of March and forever.

April 2015

THOSE WHO WAIT FOR THE LORD

In this month of April we will look into the book of ISAIAH 40:31:
But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.

WHEN DO WE WAIT UPON THE LORD
Waiting on (for, upon) the Lord;
God is the giver of wisdom and this we require in our waiting for the Lord.
The Bible says in the book of Proverbs 4:7: Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.

HOW DO WE WAIT UPON THE LORD
In other to wait upon the lord, we need some requirements and these are:
1. Faith in God
2. Focus on God
3. Trust in God
4. Love for God
5. Hope in the Lord
6. Reading the Word of God and believing in it.

With all these requirement we get close to the Trinity and the promise of God to us are:
1. God we renew our strength
2. We shall mount up with wings like eagles
3. We shall run and not be weary
4. We shall walk and not faint.

WHAT ARE THE GAINS OF TRUSTING IN THE LORD
There are lots of gain in trusting and waiting upon the Lord and some of these gains can be find in the book of Psalm 125:1-2
1: They that trust in the LORD shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth for ever.
2: As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the LORD is round about his people from henceforth even for ever.

I pray that in this Month of March as we put our trust in God in all we do and in all we are about to do that the Lord we renew our strength.
Glory, honor and majesty to God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. May the lord abide with us in all we do (Amen).
Proverbs 3:5-6:
5: Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.
6: in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.

I was reading some articles about Eagles and I came across this link: http://sharelife.wordpress.com/2007/08/22/7-principles-of-an-eagle-dr-myles-monroe/

It talks about the 7 principles of an Eagle, you can have a look at it, its a very nice article.

God bless you (Amen).

QUITTING DRUG

Who is a DRUG ADDICT?
Any person who is abnormally dependent on narcotic drug is called drug addict.

Why DRUG?
Many try drugs out of curiosity, or in an effortt to ease their problems e.g stress, anxiety or depression. Some get into it through peer pressure, some as a result of stress.
Sometimes through problems and circumstances some people get to use drug and it resulted to addiction.
Drug use has caused problems for many people at home, work, school and in relationships and these has left many isolated , helpless and ashamed.

Quitting
Some claim they wanted to quitt taking drug but could not, as a matter of fact, drug addiction is a complex disease and quitting takes more than good intention. Quitting is difficult, even for those who are ready to do so.

No matter how often or how little you are consuming, if your drug use is causing problems in your life then it is drug abuse or addiction.

Drug addiction is a great problem in our society today and many people have died as a result of its consequence.

Good NEWS
Drug addiction is a great problem in our society today and many people have died as a result of its consequence

But I have a great news for you today, with christ as your help, you can do all things.
As I have said earlier that drug addiction is a disease but the bible says in the book of ACT 10: 38:
„How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power, and how he went around doing good and healing all who were under the power of the devil, because God was with him.“
God is a great God and all powerful God and he is able to do all things.

Philippians 4:13 says:
I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
When you accept Christ into your life, you will be strengthened by Him and He will make all that seem impossible possible.

Matthew 19:26 says:
But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, with men this is impossible; But with God all things are possible.

Accept Jesus into your life today and your life will not remain the same.

JULY 2015

Psalm 125
I love this Psalm. It is one of my favorite Psalms. It keeps renewing my assurance of God's love.
Psalm125 vs. 1-5
1 Those who trust in the Lord.
Are like Mount Zion, Which cannot be moved, but abides forever.
2 As the mountains surround Jerusalem, So the Lord surrounds His people From this time forth and forever.
3 For the scepter of wickedness shall not rest On the land allotted to the righteous, Lest the righteous reach out their hands to iniquity.
4 Do good, O Lord, to those who are good, And to those who are upright in their hearts.
5 As for such as turn aside to their crooked ways, The Lord shall lead them away With the workers of iniquity.
Peace be upon Israel!

The LORD Almighty is the strength of His people. When we put our trust in Him we will never be put to shame.
Sometimes things seem to be so hard but we should not let our faith shake. When we love our God and serve Him in truth, He will surely protect and guide us in all our ways.

May God protect us and direct our ways (Amen).

August 2015:
BUY THE TRUTH

Proverbs 23:23 23: Buy the truth, and sell it not; also wisdom, and instruction, and understanding.

In this World of ours the Truth is very rare. People prefer lies . Infact liars get more favour because most time people tend to accept liars more than the trustworthy person.

People lies for so many reasons:
Some lies to uphold themselves and make themselves more important in the sight of others, all in the name of pride, They tell lies to their friends to make themselves feel more important.

Some lies to bring others down. Most times when they are envious of the other person they prefer to tell lies against the person and bring the person down, so many souls have been destroyed due to false accusations and lies.

Some tell lies to get favour, the Bible says Favour comes from the Lord, when the Lord decide to give us favour it does not depend on our lies, God will do what he says he will do. Psalm 5:12: For You, O Lord, will bless the righteous; with favor You will surround him as with a shield.

The TRUTH IS GOLD, but people may never believe this, there are so many nice things in this World but truth, wisdom, instruction and understanding is very very important.

God want us to acquire this. In the book of proverb 4:7 we could read that: Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.

Whatever we want to acquire in the world, we should always aim at wisdom, and understanding, together with TRUTH we will be able to acquire great things in life.
The lie can run for years but the truth catches up with it one day. There is victory of truth over Falsehood.

Wisdom, understanding, instruction and truth are GOLD. God as our loving father want us to have all these, in all these there is greatness.

September 2015:

I am born of God and I am a child of Destiny

What does it mean to be born of GOD
1 John 5 VS. 1: Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves the father loves his child as well.
Being born of God is a continuous process, that is why is incorrect when someone says " I was born of God"; BECAUSE it is not a process that happened just in the past, BUT it is a continuous process. It is different from the process of being born into our family, when we were physically born into this world, we were "Born Of our Parents".
Being born of God is a process that begun at Salvation, it is a continuous process lasting until the Lord comes again or He calls us home.  I am still in God so I am presently born of God and I will forever be born of God. (Hallelujah).

The criteria of being born of God
No one who is born of God practices sin
1 John 3 VS. 9: No one who is born of God practices sin, because His seed abides in him; and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
Whosoever is born of God does not sin. Does that mean we are perfect? We are all human but we are in Christ; THAT MAKES A GREAT DIFFERENT... Philippians 3:9:And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith.
1 John 2:29: If you know that he is righteous, you know that everyone who does what is right has been born of him.
We have accepted the Lord as our Lord and personal Saviour. We are baptized not only with water but also with the holy spirit. We have submitted our WILLS to the Lord and we are ever ready to follow him wherever he leads us. Our total hope is in him and he will never lead us to a place of sin. He will guide us on the right paths. We are perfect in him, because he is the only one that can make us perfect. Our flesh and our mind are still capable of sinning. But our new spirit is incapable of sinning because it is "Born Of God", and the spirit of God dwells in it. And because of the presence of the Holy Spirit, Jesus Christ Himself now resides in us, and he is the sinless one! It means that, when we stumble, the light of Christ causes us to see our mistakes, to confess our sins and helps us to move forward with Christ.
Psalm 37 VS.
23:The LORD makes firm the steps of the one who delights in him;
24: though he may stumble, he will not fall, for the LORD upholds him with his hand.
1 John 5:18:We know that anyone born of God does not continue to sin; the One who was born of God keeps them safe, and the evil one cannot harm them. (the one who was born of God: JESUS CHRIST)

The Benefits of being in Christ
Everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world

1 John 5 VS. 4: For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.
We are victorious. Greater is He that is in us than he that is in the World.

1 John 4 VS. 4: You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.
Our FAITH in GOD is the central purpose of being born of Him.
Matthew 17 VS. 20: He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”

We are full heirs with Christ.

Romans 8 VS. 17:Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.
We have the Spirit of God bearing witness to our spirit that we are indeed part of the family of God with full privileges. We may suffer with Christ but we will also be glorified in Christ.
God bless you.

October 2015:

Ezekiel CHAPTER 37

The situations of this life sometimes put us off, that will may think there is no way out of our situations. This type of condition can be referred to as dry bone in the valley.

But the Lord has a word of encouragement for us today, which can be found in the book of Ezekiel Chapter 37.

No matter what we are passing through the Lord has solution to our situations. All we have to do is to speak to the situation in Faith and prophecy into our Life.

What do we require to do in order for the dry bone in our life to receive life again :
1. We have to be born again i.e born of GOD and HOLY SPIRIT.
2. We must have Faith in GOD
3. We should be prayerful
4. We should put on the whole Armor of GOD. (Ephesians 6: 10 - 18)
GOD bless you.

November 2015
PSALM 147

Psalm 147: 1-6
1 Praise ye the Lord: for it is good to sing praises unto our God;
for it is pleasant; and praise is comely.

2 The Lord doth build up Jerusalem: he gathereth together the     outcasts of Israel.

3 He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.

4 He telleth the number of the stars; he calleth them all by their    names.

5 Great is our Lord, and of great power: his understanding is    infinite.

6 The Lord lifteth up the meek: he casteth the wicked down to the     ground.

There is power in praising God. Sometimes we may have problems but we should learn to count our blessings, then we will be surprise for what the Lord has done. Most of all we should praise the Lord because God is happy when we praise him. (Psalm 22:3):
“But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.”

Reasons to praise the Lord:
There are so many reasons why we should praise the Lord but most of all:
1. We should praise God for the breath of Life. When there is life, there is Hope.
2. We should praise him for His protection over us, few are the dangers we see, many are the dangers God protected us from without us being aware of it.
3. God is a merciful God, we should always praise him for His mercy.
4. Praise bring miracle; when all fail, try praise. God is moved by our praise.
5. The list is unending, what about His purpose in creating us. Their is a purpose why we are here. Let's always remember to praise God for this.

May God bless us and teach us to know how to praise him. (amen)

December 2015

The GIFT of GOD

Christmas is at the corner, we are all excited to celebrate the birth of Jesus.
Christmas is not just the celebration of fun or holiday of enjoyment but it is the appreciation of the greatest GIFT of GOD; the GIFT of Salvation.

JOHN 3:16: For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Below is a very nice Poem that really reflect what Christmas is all about; THE LOVE OF GOD:

Mankind was in abject darkness and destruction
All hopes faded away
Everyone was living the way they like
Until the greatest gift of God came
And the word of God became flesh
And dwell among us
Without Him all glory fade away
Nobles fall from life and die
Music loses meaning and
Virtue ceases to exist
He came to give life and hope of glory
He died on the cross of Calvary so that we might not
Die EVERLASTING DEATH
Written by:  Taiwo Opemipo Folorunsho

May GOD bless us in this season of Christmas and may HE made us to know the real meaning of Christmas (amen)
