Giving thanks in Everything

Psalm 34 VS. 1:
I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth.

God should at all time be worthy of our praise. In all things we should give Him thanks. He is our redeemer. He will never leave us nor forsake us. He is omnipotent, omniscient and omnipresent God; No matter what we are going through he stands secure for us. He knows just what we do.

In this month of December let us not only celebrate Christmas, Let us celebrate the God of Christmas. Let us sing psalms of praise to him for THE PRECIOUS GIFT: JESUS CHRIST.
John 3:16:
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

God I thank you because before you formed me in my mother's womb you knew me .
Jeremiah 1:5:
Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations.”

Psalm 139:13-14:

13 For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb.
14 I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well.

Psalm 150 VS. 6: Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord!

Forgiveness

Sometimes we find it so hard to forgive people who offend us. Most times the people who offend us are those whom we trust most, someone we look up to, at times the very people whom we love the most and cherish.

Forgiveness and being reconciled are not about pretending that things are other than they are. It is not patting one another on the back and turning blind eye to the wrong. Forgiveness looks sin in the eye and speaks the costly words : "I forgive you."

What does the Bible teach about forgiveness?
Matthew 6:14-15:
14 For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
15 But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.
Ephesians 1:7:
In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace.

Why is it so hard to forgive?
1. sometimes we were so wounded by people we trusted most. The wound may have been old, but the pain remains fresh.
2. sometimes people treated others unfairly in order to maximize their own power. We often find it difficult to forgive because they've wounded us to our very soul.

Why do we have to forgive others?
1. From a Gracious God we receive forgiveness; we have all sinned against God
What does God does with our sins?
- He erases them
Isaiah 43:24-25:
24 Thou hast bought me no sweet cane with money, neither hast thou filled me with the fat of thy sacrifices: but thou hast made me to serve with thy sins, thou hast wearied me with thine iniquities.
25 I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins.
- He does not record them
Psalm 32:2: Blessed is the one whose sin the LORD does not count against them and in whose spirit is no deceit.
- He totally removes them
Psalm 103: 12: As distant as the east is from the west, that is how far he has removed our sins from us.
- He nails them to the cross
Colossians 2: 13-14: 13 Even when you were dead because of your offenses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made you alive with him when he forgave us all of our offenses, 14 having erased the charges that were brought against us, along with their obligations that were hostile to us. He took those charges away when he nailed them to the cross.

2. Forgiving someone is a difficult thing to do, but it's a necessity for our well-being;  it improves our life by improving our physical and emotional health.

3. The main reason for forgiving is that we will glorify God and reveal His character to those around us.

Jesus died on the cross not because something was wrong with him, but because everything was wrong with us.

In most cases, the only way to forgive is by remembering. It is important that we do not make a simplistic connection between forgiving and forgetting. True forgiveness requires a careful look at what has actually happened to us. It is possible that we genuinely do not remember what someone has done against us, but most often it is largely a mistake to say, "Forgive and forget." Rather, the judgment of grace enables us, through the power of Holy Spirit, to remember well and deal with it.
- True forgiveness requires the offender to own sin repentantly.
- Genuine repentance goes deeper than apology or the expression of regret.
- forgiveness is given graciously and generously; if they repent, forgive them.

Forgiveness doesn't mean forgetting to remember, but remembering to forget.

O Lord our GOD, grant us the Grace to genuinely forgive those who  ask us for forgiveness.

WHEN THE LORD TURNED AGAIN THE CAPTIVITY OF ZION
Psalm 126:1:
„When the LORD turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream.“

The Zion were in captivity but the Lord rescued  and released them from their captivity. Many times we find ourselves in some bad situations and we think it is all over.

God is a good God. In any situation we find ourselves we should always trust in God because God will never forsake his own people.
(Psalm 30:5): „... weeping may last through the night but joy comes with the morning."

God is able to restore all we have lost; more than we could ever imagine. Sometimes we face disappointment, though it's hard to cope with this, but some disappointments are actually blessings in disguise. Let us put our trust in God because He is the only one who is 100% trustworthy.

Psalm 125 vs. 1: Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion, which cannot be moved, but abides forever.

WHAT DO WE DO

1.Praying and fasting,.
The Bible says „The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. „ (James 5:16)

2. Working hard to know the mind of God on the situation we are and seeking the face of God on what He wants us to do about the situation

3. Trusting in the Lord with all our heart

Psalm 126:6 assures us that though we go forth weeping but we shall surely come again rejoicing.

THOSE WHO WAIT FOR THE LORD
In this month of August we will look into the book of ISAIAH 40:31:
But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.

WHEN DO WE WAIT UPON THE LORD
Waiting on (for, upon) the Lord;
God is the giver of wisdom and this we require in our waiting for the Lord.
The Bible says in the book of Proverbs 4:7: Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.

HOW DO WE WAIT UPON THE LORD
In other to wait upon the lord, we need some requirements and these are:
1. Faith in God
2. Focus on God
3. Trust in God
4. Love for God
5. Hope in the Lord
6. Reading the Word of God and believing in it.

With all these requirement we get close to the Trinity and the promise of God to us are:
1. God we renew our strength
2. We shall mount up with wings like eagles
3. We shall run and not be weary
4. We shall walk and not faint.

WHAT ARE THE GAINS OF TRUSTING IN THE LORD
There are lots of gain in trusting and waiting upon the Lord and some of these gains can be find in the book of Psalm 125:1-2
1: They that trust in the LORD shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth for ever.
2: As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the LORD is round about his people from henceforth even for ever.

I pray that in this Month of March as we put our trust in God in all we do and in all we are about to do that the Lord we renew our strength.
Glory, honor and majesty to God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. May the lord abide with us in all we do (Amen).
Proverbs 3:5-6:
5: Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.
6: in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.

I was reading some articles about Eagles and I came across this link: http://sharelife.wordpress.com/2007/08/22/7-principles-of-an-eagle-dr-myles-monroe/
It talks about the 7 principles of an Eagle, you can have a look at it, its a very nice article.
God bless you (Amen).

April 2016

No One and Nothing Can Stand in the Way of Messiah's Providence
Zechariah 4: 1-14:
1 Then the angel who talked with me returned and woke me up, like someone awakened from sleep.
2 He asked me, “What do you see?” I answered, “I see a solid gold lampstand with a bowl at the top and seven lamps on it, with seven channels to the lamps. 3 Also there are two olive trees by it, one on the right of the bowl and the other on its left.”
4 I asked the angel who talked with me, “What are these, my lord?”
5 He answered, “Do you not know what these are?” “No, my lord,” I replied.
6 So he said to me, “This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the Lord Almighty.
7 “What are you, mighty mountain? Before Zerubbabel you will become level ground. Then he will bring out the capstone to shouts of ‘God bless it! God bless it!’”
8 Then the word of the Lord came to me:
9 “The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this temple; his hands will also complete it. Then you will know that the Lord Almighty has sent me to you.
10 “Who dares despise the day of small things, since the seven eyes of the Lord that range throughout the earth will rejoice when they see the chosen capstone in the hand of Zerubbabel?”
11 Then I asked the angel, “What are these two olive trees on the right and the left of the lampstand?”
12 Again I asked him, “What are these two olive branches beside the two gold pipes that pour out golden oil?”
13 He replied, “Do you not know what these are?” “No, my lord,” I said.
14 So he said, “These are the two who are anointed to serve the Lord of all the earth.”

When Jesus says yes nobody can say no. Sometimes we find ourselves in some situation and we thought there is no way out again but the Bible says Christ in us is the hope of glory.

Who can stand in the way of  Messiah's Providence?  No One!
I have found myself in some situations in the past that makes me to know that Nothing and No One  can stand in the way of God's Providence.
He is our living HOPE. He is the HOPE OF GLORY.

Zechariah 4:7: “What are you, mighty mountain? Before Zerubbabel you will become level ground. Then he will bring out the capstone to shouts of ‘God bless it! God bless it!’”.
When we put our total trust in God and when we commit our ways to him then our lives is sure and secured. God loves us and he is ever faithful.

Nothing or no one can hinder God from accomplishing His purposes in our lives.

Whatever we started or we are about to do we should always commit it to the hands of God. He is the beginning and the end. He knows everything about our lives and He is ever faithful.

No one can hold back his hand or say to him:  What have you done?

The LORD is good all the time.
May the God of love be with us and continue to guide our ways. (Amen)

BUY THE TRUTH
Proverbs 23 VS. 23:
Buy the truth, and sell it not; also wisdom, and instruction, and understanding.

In this World of ours the Truth is very rare. People prefer lies . Infact liars get more favour because most time people tend to accept liars more than the trustworthy person.

People lies for so many reasons:
Some lies to uphold themselves and make themselves more important in the sight of others, all in the name of pride, They tell lies to their friends to make themselves feel more important.

Some lies to bring others down. Most times when they are envious of the other person they prefer to tell lies against the person and bring the person down, so many souls have been destroyed due to false accusations and lies.

Some tell lies to get favour, the Bible says Favour comes from the Lord, when the Lord decide to give us favour it does not depend on our lies, God will do what he says he will do. Psalm 5:12: For You, O Lord, will bless the righteous; with favor You will surround him as with a shield.

The TRUTH IS GOLD, but people may never believe this, there are so many nice things in this World but truth, wisdom, instruction and understanding is very very important.

God want us to acquire this. In the book of proverb 4:7 we could read that: Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.

Whatever we want to acquire in the world, we should always aim at wisdom, and understanding, together with TRUTH we will be able to acquire great things in life.
The lie can run for years but the truth catches up with it one day. There is victory of truth over Falsehood.

Wisdom, understanding, instruction and truth are GOLD. God as our loving father want us to have all these, in all these there is greatness.

January 2016
DO NOT BE AFRAID

In this Month of January we will talk about how to overcome our fear. The Bible says in the book of Isaiah 44:2:
Thus saith the Lord that made thee, and formed thee from the womb, which will help thee; Fear not, O Jacob, my servant; and thou, Jesurum, whom I have chosen.

We should put our total hope in God and in him we have hope of overcoming our anxiety.
The bible says in the book of 2 Timothy 1:7: For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

With Christ we can do all things. Whatever we do we should always put God first. He is the Author and the finisher of our Faith, the beginning and the end. He knows our end from the beginning and when we commit our ways into His hands, He will surely see us through. Christ in us is the hope of Glory. How do we overcome our fear? We overcome our fear by putting on the whole Armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18).
What is the whole Armor of God:
1. Belt of Truth
2. Breastplate of Righteousness
3. Shoes of Peace
4. Shield of Faith
5. Helmet of Salvation
6. The victorious Sword of the spirit: GOD'S WORD.

MY PRAYER FOR YOU
I pray that the Lord we strengthen us in this Month of January.
May the blessings of God abide with us. (Amen).
